Professor James Blackburn Gibson

In 1983, friends and colleagues of the late Emeritus Professor James Gibson established the James Gibson Fund to mark his retirement after many years of distinguished service to the University and the community. The purpose of the fund is to facilitate visits to the Department of Pathology by distinguished scholars from abroad. Professor Gibson served as Dean of Medicine from 1972 – 75 and 1975 – 78, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hong Kong from 1967 – 68 and 1980 – 81, and Head of Pathology from 1963 – 1983. |
