Introduction
The Hong Kong Pathology Forum
The Hong Kong Pathology Forum was founded in 2013 by Professor Irene OL Ng, Loke Yew Professor in Pathology, and organized by the Department of Pathology, The University of Hong Kong. Since its inception, the event has become one of the most anticipated annual gatherings in the pathology community. It serves as a platform for sharing diagnostic advancements, cutting-edge developments, current hot topics, as well as timely and relevant subjects in clinical and scientific professions. Our target audience includes pathologists, clinicians, medical laboratory scientists, and industrial partners. We encourage knowledge exchange, professional networking, and social gathering of peers within the medical community.
The annual Hong Kong Pathology Forum is also an opportunity to pay tribute and celebrate the immense contributions of our teachers and predecessors, Professors Hou Pao-Chang and James Gibson through the respective named lectures, which are sponsored by The Hou Pao Chang Medical Memorial Fund and The James Gibson Fund, respectively.
The Hou Pao-Chang Medical Memorial Fund is generously supported by the late Professor Laurence Hou and his family. The James Gibson Fund was established by friends and colleagues of Emeritus Professor James Gibson, Dr Ng Wing Ling and Dr Lily T Ma.
